the ponds at battle creek

The Ponds at Battle Creek Golf Course reflects a strong collaborative effort between Ramsey County Parks & Recreation and Ramsey County Corrections. As part of the Ramsey County Productive Day program the golf course has the unique caveat of being partly constructed and maintained with Corrections Facility inmates. The unique aspect of this project has been featured in Golf Journal magazine and on the British Golf Channel.

The beautiful 9 hole golf course, large practice range and farmstead like clubhouse are set among 13 wetland ponds and rolling topography in the City of Maplewood, Minnesota. The golf course design takes advantage of the spectacular undulations and water features to provide a great mix of golf holes with the features and challenges typical of Minnesota’s greatest golf courses. An effective team of golf course contractor and inmate work crews completed the construction.
